DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
The Democracy Ensemble will be developed through a series of carefully planned phases, with each phase proceeding only after the successful completion of the previous one. This incremental approach is intended to allow the project to grow organically as interest, leadership, and resources develop.
The first phase is to publicly announce the project and invite interested musical theater artists to meet with Dr. Jack Tierney, Executive Producer, in an informal "Meet and Greet" on Zoom. The purpose of these conversations is to gauge interest within the performing arts community, introduce the vision of The Democracy Ensemble, and identify individuals whose talents, experience, and interests align with the project's mission.
If sufficient interest is demonstrated, the second phase is to recruit and engage an experienced Producer who shares the project's vision. The Producer and Executive Producer will then work together to assemble the artistic leadership team, including a Director/Choreographer, Music Director, and Technical Director.
The artistic staff will then collaborate to recruit, audition, and engage five female and five male performers, as called for in the script. The Music Director and Technical Director will also coordinate the project's musical and technical requirements, including sound reinforcement and production support.
Only after these milestones have been successfully achieved will rehearsals begin, leading ultimately to the premiere performances of The Democracy Ensemble.
