In this four session/eight week hands-on WORKSHOP playwright and practicing virtual theater producer Dr. Jack Tierney (aka, Jack McT) facilitates participating playwright productions of their own original plays. With guidance and coaching by Dr. Tierney, participants will: engage a cast and crew; implement a budget and rehearsal schedule; facilitate actors ZOOM technology and context; and, produce a basic virtual table-read and an enhanced virtual staged-reading with costumes, scenery, sound effects, and music. Playwrights must have completed at least a first draft of an original play; have or be willing to acquire technology (computer w/ZOOM & Internet, webcam, green screen, etc.); have sufficient ZOOM space (recommended min. 6’ x 6’ front of green screen); have a quiet context; and, be willing to fund their budgets.
