Help Us Explore the Possibilities
Civic education is too important to be confined to classrooms, and the performing arts offer exciting opportunities to bring learning into the everyday lives of our communities. But turning an interesting idea into a successful initiative requires more than enthusiasm. It requires imagination, experience, collaboration, and a willingness to explore new possibilities.
We invite educators, artists, theater professionals, community organizers, civic leaders, students, and interested citizens to join us in exploring how the performing arts might contribute to a more informed and engaged public. Some may wish to participate in the initial development team. Others may offer ideas, professional expertise, organizational partnerships, financial support, or opportunities to present programs in their communities.
At this early stage, we are not asking anyone to commit to a fully developed program.
We are inviting people to help imagine, design, and develop one.
Our immediate goal is to bring together a small group of interested individuals to explore the possibilities and develop a practical plan for moving forward. If this initiative interests you, we would welcome the opportunity to hear from you.
Together, we can explore how the performing arts
might help create an engaged public and an informed democracy.
