I’m looking for talented theater artists who might be interested in helping shape it from the very beginning. The mission is simple: to use the power of music, theater, and storytelling to encourage civic engagement, strengthen democracy, and remind audiences that, despite our differences, we share a common future. My newest work, An American Musical, asks What does it mean to be an American? Through music, humor, and compelling characters, it explores freedom, responsibility, justice, disagreement, and the continuing work of democracy. It is intentionally nonpartisan while unapologetically pro-democracy.

 
        I hope to bring together gifted artists who care deeply about the future of our democracy and want to use their talents in service of something larger than themselves. The first goal of The Democracy Ensemble is to present a concert reading of the musical. This will not be a fully staged production, but a professional presentation that allows audiences to experience the score, the story, and its message.

To accomplish this, I am looking for approximately fifteen talented collaborators:

·                    Musical Director

·                    Tech Director

·                    Social media

·                    General support

 This is envisioned as more than a single production. My hope is that The Democracy Ensemble will become an enduring organization—one that continues to create meaningful theatrical experiences long after this first project. Every lasting institution begins with a small group of people willing to say, "Let's build something worthwhile."

My hope is to help launch something that others will eventually shape, strengthen, and carry forward. If we succeed, our greatest accomplishment will not simply be producing a musical. It will be creating a community of artists committed to using their gifts in the service of democracy, dialogue, and hope.
