How to Apply

Please consider, first, the mission of this project: to bring An American Musical to life as a finite, non-union, pro-bono civic event grounded in peaceful resistance and professional standards. If that mission resonates with you, learn about the show by reviewing the materials on this website; read the script, listen to the songs, and imagine yourself as part of the company.

If you’d like to be involved, please email a brief letter of interest to Jack Tierney at drjackmct@gmail.com. Tell us a little about your background and skills, what role(s) you’re interested in (performer, director, music director, designer, stage manager, crew, etc.), and why this project matters to you. Include links or attachments that help us understand your work (resume, reel, portfolio, recordings), if available.

Note: This production is being mounted on a fully pro-bono basis by experienced theater professionals who believe that there are moments when the work itself is the compensation. An American Musical is not a commercial venture, nor a speculative development project. It is a time-limited act of civic engagement—created, rehearsed, and performed with professional rigor in service of democratic values, peaceful resistance, and public dialogue. We are seeking collaborators who recognize that their skills have power beyond the marketplace, and who are willing to donate that power—once—to a project that asks not for profit, but for presence.
